This game was made for the "Brackeys Game Jam 2025.1"

Theme:  "Nothing Can Go Wrong.."

ABOUT THE GAME:

Nothing can go wrong… right? In this Simon-inspired survival game, your memory and reflexes will be put to the test. Watch the sequence, repeat it perfectly, and brace yourself - because every few rounds, the game will throw a new challenge your way. Buttons will shuffle, disappear, speed up, and more… Can you keep up, or will the game outsmart you?

CONTROLS:

Simple and intuitive, just click the buttons with your mouse.

HOW TO PLAY:

The game is round - based, each round has a set sequence length that increases as you progress.

The round starts with one button lighting up - you must repeat the action by clicking the correct button.

Next, the game repeats the first action and adds a new one. You must now repeat both in the correct order.

This process continues, with each step adding a new action until you complete the full sequence for that round. (every round starts with a new sequence)

Every even-numbered round, a random challenge is introduced, making it harder to follow the sequence. what are the challenges?

  • Speed Up - the sequence plays faster, so try to keep up!
  • Button Shuffle - after every sequence showcase, buttons swap places. Don’t rely on positions - focus on colors!
  • Disappearing - buttons vanish after each showcase. You must remember both the sequence and their positions.
  • Button Hell - instead of 4 buttons, you’ll face 16 buttons for this round!
  • Safe Area - every click requires precision, a slider appears, and you must click the button when the slider handle is inside the "safe area" - or it's game over!

(Challenge description is shown when the mouse hovers over the challenge icon - appears on every challenge round before you click "start round")

SCORE:

Your score increases as you play, based on how accurately and quickly you complete each round. Every correct click adds points, while successfully finishing a round gives you an extra bonus. If you complete a round faster, you’ll earn even more points. And as you progress, the score scales up, meaning the further you go, the higher your potential score becomes. Keep pushing forward and see how high you can climb, and try to beat you own records to set new high scores.
