This game was made for "GoedWare Game Jam #12" with the theme "Strange power ups".

ABOUT THE GAME:

You thought that escaping reality would solve you'r problems, but you were wrong, it just caused more. You got stuck in an un-known universe where everything is suddenly becoming very strange and the only way to escape is by collecting all 3 keys.

The game is a mix of a platformer and a little bit of a puzzle because you have to plan you'r way correctly.

The game consists of 15 levels, the first two are tutorials and there's a little backstory dialog for you to understand the game better.

The game also has 5 strange power-ups (because you know things are getting strange). When picking up a power up you get 3 random options to chose from, when going over the option buttons you get an explanation for each of them so read it careully. The power up will be activated immediately after pressing the option button and you can see the time left for the power up in the top right corner of the screen.

STRANGE POWER UPS:

  • Upside down - The player flips upside down for 10 seconds (you can still jump upside down).
  • Extra character - Adds an additional character for 30 seconds, his controls are:   1-Left, 2-Jump, 3-Right (the extra character dying doesn't reset the level).
  • Reversed movement - Left movement becomes right movement and right becomes left (10 seconds).
  • Buttons switch - The buttons switch places with each other for 10 seconds.
  • Key magnet - You turn into a magnet the attracts key from their right and from the left you repel them.

CONTROLS:

  • Move - A & D / ARROWS
  • Jump - W / SPACE / UP ARROW
  • Reset level - R

TO KNOW:

  • In order to escape you must have all 3 keys.
  • Spikes and moving spikes will kill you.
  • You can push the boxes around to help with holding down buttons and with reaching higher platforms.
  • Buttons are activating walls & platforms only when pressed and when released they return to their first state.
